A Virginia Tech trip is not complete without Home Place. First and only meal of the day and it filled me up for HOURS. Amazing food with amazing people. Can I just relive this entire past weekend all over again?

I really miss this past weekend sooo much. Only half of the CREWcial family pictured. Wish all of us could’ve made it to Virginia Tech. MISS YOU GUYS ALREADY!

We are CREWcial from Hampton Roads, VA. Our name came from a name brainstorming session. Many were put into consideration, but jokingly “CREWcial” was thrown in and ended up being the name we chose.

What started as a group of friends coming together just to dance and hang out, friendships and connections were made and CREWcial was eventually formed.

Our accomplishments: The fact that we have stayed together for going on four years but still maintain our initial mindset is probably our greatest accomplishment. As far as dancing goes, we have all grown tremendously over the years but it is more than that. We have formed such a strong bonds with each other; friendships that will last a lifetime. Members have come and gone but our love for dance and for each other will remain the same.

We continue to dance because it is our creative outlet and it’s what we all have in common. No matter where we are, what we’re doing or where we’re going in our lives, dance will always be that passion shared between us and will always bring us back to each other. Simply put, we truly love to dance.

We continue to dance because we feel we are “CREWcial” to the DMV dance community (see what we did there?). But all jokes aside we feel as though we are good representations to what dancing is about. It comes solely from our hearts and everything else comes after. We want to improve our craft and share with others but we will always be family first.

I love my family! <3 Come see and support us and many other talented crews at Prelude DMV this Saturday in Baltimore, MD!!! This weekend is sure to be AMAZING!

Thank you to everyone that voted and helped put KODACHROME on the map. Not only has VA, NC, and the whole DMV’s voice been heard, but the entire east coast has been blessed. About three years ago, I would have never imagined that dancing scene here would grow and blossom into what it is today. KODACHROME has come a long way since ‘09, bringing more communities together, as well as others from all over the east coast and big names from the west coast. It’s united many of us, far and wide, and I’m thankful to have met the dancers in my group (CREWcial) and other dancers that I’ve befriended, as well as people from all over the DMV that have been with KODACHROME from the beginning. You all inspire me to be better and help me appreciate what we have here. A big thank you to Movement Lifestyle for giving KODACHROME this opportunity and for inspiring many of us, not just on the east coast, but all over the world. KODACHROME is thankful for everyone’s support and it’s still continuing to grow and shows no signs of slowing down. There’s only more to come and each workshop/event just keeps getting better and more memorable. Thank you KODACHROME and I love you guys more than you can imagine.
